GP Training

This Training Practice is actively involved in the training of future GPs. Each year doctors who have had hospital training will be attached to the practice for either six months or one year. The current approved Trainers are Dr Divall, Dr Clarke, Dr van Loon and Dr Broomhead.

Dr Clarke, Dr Broomhead, Dr Wright and Dr Rees teach undergraduate medical students

It is possible that, as part of the educational process, medical students will have access to medical records. All medical students have signed confidentiality documents

Practice Business Manager

The Practice Business Manager has overall responsibility for surgery premises, services, staff and finance.

Secretarial /Reception Staff

The partners currently employ 3 secretaries, 7 receptionists and 8 administration staff

Practice Nurses

There are 4 practice nurses who run clinics and deal with immunisations, foreign travel, ear syringing, the removal of stitches, dressing of wounds and ulcers, blood tests and other investigations ordered by the doctor

The Community Midwife Team

There is a community midwife team attached to this practice providing care for pregnant women and mothers and babies for up to 10 days after delivery. The team runs the antenatal clinics

District Nurses

There are several district nurses attached to this practice. They are responsible for nursing care in the home. Arrangements are made through the doctor. The nurses may be contacted on 0121 373 0358

Health Visitors

There are 2 health visitors attached to this practice. They take special responsibility for visiting the under 5's and the over 75's and concentrate on health education, aids for the handicapped and disease prevention

Pharmacist

A practice pharmacist assists us with matters relating to prescribing. The pharmacist is available by arrangement to discuss matters relating to prescriptions and medication
